The Musculoskeletal System

The foundations of the body is the musculouskeletal system, which is made up of muscles, bones, joints, and their associated tissues. These are the areas most often injured in sports.

Bones

Bones make up the skeleton, which is the body’s framework. The skeleton has two main functions;

* Supporting the body

* Protecting important organs

Muscles

Muscles move the bones by shortening and lengthening in response to signals from th brain. The major muscle groups are the rotator cuff in the shoulder, quadriceps in the front of the upper arm, triceps behind the upper arm, and the calf muscles behind the lower leg.

The Reproductive System

The reproductive systems is the one responsible for the production of offspring. A female and a male have different reproductive organs that function only in pairs. The female contains egg cells that can only be produced by the ovaries. Likewise, a male organ contains sperm cells that can only be produced fertilized eggs, which can developed into a human baby.
